The house is marital property, regardless of how it is titled. You would be wise to check to see if your name in on the title and/or the mortgage. Even if it is not, you have an ownership interest in the house.

My office is in Howard County so we are very aware of the market trends in Ellicott City, that being said it is important to note that you are only entitled to 1/2 of the equity in the house after the mortgage is paid off. It would be better for you and your husband if he were to buy you out of your share rather than sell the house and pay realtors and taxes.
