Attorney Holt served as the Berman Research Fellow for the Environmental Law Department at the University of Maryland School of Law as the sole fellow at the school. Her tenure as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Gerald P. Federoff in New Orleans, LA, further honed her legal research and writing skills.
Dedicated to social justice, Ms. Holt’s practice consistently includes providing legal aid to low-income clients which has earned her recognition in the MD State Bar Association’s magazine in a feature titled “A Commitment to Pro Bono Excellence and Community Service.” Her community involvement was recognized in 2006 when she was appointed by County Executive Ken Ulman as a Commissioner on the Human Rights Commission for Howard County, underscoring her commitment to justice and
equality.
Beyond her legal achievements, Attorney Holt is a vibrant community leader. In her role on the Board of VolunTeens (www.volunteensco.com), she inspires and mentors high school volunteers, creating and leading several impactful community projects annually. Her initiative in teaching NICU nurses and volunteers to knit hats for newborns at Johns Hopkins Hospital showcases her compassionate spirit. As a mainstay at the Columbia Community Care food pantry, she is renowned for her dedication to supporting food-insecure residents. Further reflecting her diverse talents and commitment to service, Attorney Holt proudly serves as a Trustee for the AWS Foundation for the protection of animals, emphasizing her broad scope of influence and dedication to various causes.
Experience:
Prior to joining Mulinazzi Law Office, Ms. Holt worked as a criminal defense attorney at a Maryland firm. She also served as in-house corporate counsel where she drafted municipal ordinances and state house bills at a medium sized Maryland corporation. In 2006 she was appointed by County Executive Ken Ulman to serve as a Commissioner on the Human Rights Commission for Howard County. She is an accomplished legal researcher and writer, serving as the Berman Research Fellow for the Environmental Law Department at the University of Maryland School of Law and a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gerald P. Federoff, New Orleans, LA. Ms. Holt’s case load always includes low income clients and she is a frequent and dedicated volunteer to unrepresented and low income clients in both landlord/tenant disputes and also Will and Estate issues.
