Kim E. Sorensen, Esq.
Ms. Sorensen is entering her fourth year of practice focusing on family and domestic law matters. She has successfully negotiated and settled even the most contentious cases involving custody, property division, child support, and alimony. She has assisted in many complex property cases, and has litigated countless divorces and custody merits hearings. Ms. Sorensen is also a certified mediator and is able to mediate all issues surrounding family law matters. She and the other attorneys at Mulinazzi Law Office volunteer to take dozens of cases from the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service (MVLS) each year in order to help those most vulnerable litigants who could not otherwise protect their rights in court.
Ms. Sorensen has an excellent command of courtroom procedure and the Maryland Rules, as well as great instincts. She is committed to common sense solutions while protecting the rights of her clients and their children. She has extensive experience in legal research and writing after working as a clerk and intern for the Department of Commerce, Department of Transportation, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Honorable Marcus Z. Shar in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. After Law School she was the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Yolanda A. Tanner of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and an associate attorney at a boutique domestic law practice in Montgomery County.
Ms. Sorensen is a native of Northern Virginia, a graduate of Virginia Tech and of the University of Baltimore Law School where her course of study emphasized domestic law. In her free time, she enjoys long distance running. She finished the 2015 New York Marathon and she is running the USMC marathon this fall. She is an excellent baker and speaks proficient Spanish.
